The FARMHOUSE (building on the left) and the COTTAGE (building on the right), completely restored a few years ago, are placed in a quiet area, surrounded by woods and vineyards, 5 minutes by car from the nearest village of Castellina in Chianti (in the heart of the production area of the best Chianti wine: "Gallo Nero"), 20 minutes from Siena, 40 minutes from Florence, 50 minutes from Florence Airport (Peretola), 1,30 hrs from Pisa Airport. Both houses are located in a peaceful magnificent context, on a natural terrace that overlooks the Tuscan rolling hills, between woods, vineyard and olive trees. Sensational view over the valley. Magnificent sunsets. A public swimming pool and tennis court are at walking distance.
FARMHOUSE (sleeps max 8 people). This stunning ancient Tuscan building used to be a monastry in the 15th century. Beautifully restored, it keeps the charme of a Tuscan farmhouse, with a large dining-room and a perfectly functioning fireplace, a simple kitchen with all facilities, two bathrooms, four bedrooms.
COTTAGE (sleeps max 5 people). The large dining-room has a big fireplace and a large window which looks out on to the Tuscan hills (with San Gimignano in the distance); there is a little kitchen with simple but modern facilities, a bathroom with shower, two bedrooms with two beds each (one single bed and one double bed), and a large sofa in the passageway to the bedrooms.
Upon your arrival, a young man who takes care of the property and who lives in the village of Castellina in Chianti will accompany you and will show you the house, the little pinewood and the large area for sun-bathing which are at your disposal.
This location, particularly peaceful and charming, is perfect for nature lovers and also ideal for one-day trips around the innumerable cultural centers of Tuscany and central Italy (Siena, Florence, San Gimignano, Volterra, Cinque Terre, sandy beaches).

- Jacqueline Samperi Mangan recieved her BA from Concordia University in German literature and education, her MA from McGill University in applied linguistics and her Ph.D from McGill specialising in Swiss-Italian literature. She has served as coordinator of the Italian language and culture courses at the Université de Montréal and has taught for over twenty five years in various Canadian universities and colleges. Dr. Samperi worked in ministerial projects concerning multilingualism and has collaborated with the Montreal school commissions and with the Quebec ministry of foreign affairs. She has published numerous literary and linguistic articles and is active in new teaching technology research at the Université de Montréal were she is presently teaching. Dr. Samperi has also served as an officer on numerous boards and is the President of the Association of Professors of Italian in Quebec (APIQ). In addition, Dr. Samperi is a regular presenter at international conventions and recently delivered papers in Siena, Taormina, Colorado Springs, and Leuven. Dr. Samperi has also been teaching at Harrington College of Canada, English literatures, Ethics, French and English L2.
